I'm really pleased to announce that I'm this week's featured blogger for Feature and Follow Friday organised each week by ParaJunkee and Alison Can Read. This meme is hugely popular and I am ecstatic that I got a chance to be featured. Here's some background info about me and if you want to know more feel free to chat with me.
When did you start blogging?
I started blogging on and off last year, but have been doing so seriously since that last 6 months.
What is your favourite part of book blogging?
I love expressing my views and thoughts about my passion in life. I can be myself and and my blog is my own little corner where I can gush and fan girl as much as I want. I also get to meet so many bloggers who have been great and supportive throughout.
What is your favorite book(s)?
This is going to become such a long list that I will only mention the type of books I read which is mainly Fantasy, Dystopia, PNR, Urban Fantasy, Historical Romance and YA.
What has been the best thing that has happened to you because of book blogging?
I recently received a paper ARC from a publisher which was the first time I ever received one. I was really pleased as it meant that someone read and liked my reviews to think me worthy enough for a paper ARC.
Q: What hyped up book do you think was not worth all the talk?
Apart from the appalling and ugly cover I was assured that book would be great. Most of my GoodReads friends loved it to bits and wouldn't stop talking about how romantic and thrilling this book was. Always up for a fantasy romance, I was fully prepared to love this, thinking it would blow my socks off. Well, let's just say I was disappointed. Even with the amazing GR rating and a decent story line it failed to impress me.You can read my review here

I hadn't heard of this one, but I also picked books that SO many people said were amazing, and I was remarkably underwhelmed. It's so disappointing when you go in expecting to love something, and then you don't.

Congratulations of being featured! I'm an old GFC follower, but I followed by networked blogs and Linky, hooray! This is an appallingly ugly cover ;) And I LOVE getting the paperback arcs, too! I'm grateful for any, but as I live in Austalia, they don't come my way too often! :(

I don't know about you, but I always feel bad when I don't like a book my GR and blog friends have loved - a bit like I'm letting down the team. But good to know it happens to other people as well.
BTW scanning the series you love tells me we have very similar tastes!

The Tairen Soul saga is an all-time favourite of mine. Not based on book one alone, but the whole series.

I've found, with online reviews, ESPECIALLY YA ones, you really have to take everything with a grain of salt. Things get hyped around here a lot that just don't deserve it. When I saw this week's question, I could only think, "Oh, jeez, where do I even start?!"... but I went with the "BIG ONE", LOL!

I've never heard of this book before. It's tough when you're disappointed with a book though. It just makes you love the really good ones that much more. :)

Wow... that cover is pretty bad. Too bad the book didn't meet your expectations. I hate it when I get a book recommended to me with gushing reviews, and I just don't like it. You know that awkward moment when your friend is like "You loved it, right? Right? RIGHT?" Yeah...

I haven't read this book (or even heard of it actually!), but I do hate when that happens. You get yourself psyched up to read a book that everyone seems to love and then you're sorely disappointed. I try to keep my expectations on the low side.
