Dex-Files Blog Tour ( Experiment in Terror #5.7)

Today the Dex Files blog Tours kicks off from Escapism from Reality and Sinfully Delicious Book Reviews. Dex Dex Dex, I didn't know your mind would be so good to read about. I loved every line of it. I'm not sure where to start as not only you get a rare glimpse into the mind of (in my opinion the most crazy character I have read about) Dex. When I was reading the series, more like eating it up, I wanted to know more this enigmatic, elusive character. We usually get to know only what Perry is thinking but it's so hard to know what Dex is thinking. Does he like Perry? What is going on in his mind and the reasons behind his action.

Dex files answered a lot of questions. If you haven't read all the books yet you should not read this book as it may contain some spoilers.So moving on, can you imagine how funny Dex is. His monologue is hilarious and holds no barriers. He had this unique way of phrasing which had me laughing out loud. Truth to be told he has a dirty mind. Not sure if every man had a mind like his because it would be frightening. But even if he was pervy he was honest. Not saying he was honest to himself but what he felt at that moment.

For all those wondering , yes there were great smutty scenes but they were well done and it was clear that Dex found Perry exceeding attractive and it showed in many says (wink wink)

"She had one hell of an ass.Not too big that your dick would get lost but just big enough to get a good, meaty hold of and squeeze and smack and come until the cows come home."

I expected a lot of things from Dex's POV but not what I got. I'm not sure what I was expecting but certainly not to find a man who thought so little of himself. It was strange since outwards he always exuded confidence in whatever he did. It was sad that how much he needed love and affection. How much he needed Perry. If only he knew what light she saw him in.

"She was mine. For the sake of appearances, she was my wife, but she mine anyway. She didn't know it yet, but I did, It was wrong and it made no sense, but she belonged with me."

We get a scene from pivotal points in Dex life. We get an insight into his childhood and college life. Also we get a little more about Abby, his first love. What's more we discover more about his relationship with Jenn. Karina gives us all fan girls a treat by including POV from key moments between him and Perry. Not surprisingly my favourite scenes were the ones from Lying Season. It was painful to watch how self destructive Dex was but I could understand him just a little bit more.

The Dex files also displayed Dex's musical inclination. Each chapter/scene was named a song and I believe it will come with a play list too.

This review may be slightly in-coherent as I'm trying really hard not to start into fan-girl mode I loved it so much.
If you are a fan of this series The Dex Files is an essential for you. Ever thought " What was he thinking?" then The Dex Files is for you.
