This is my first book by J. A Redmerski, off whom I had heard nothing but praises for. Her other NA novels have a fan following and I was going into The Moment of Letting Go with the same mind set.
Sienna is a wedding planner and on her holiday she meets Luke who is s a surfing instructor. Attraction blooms and before she knows it Sienna is extending her holiday and shacking up with Luke.
This book had such an easy going pace. Not all love stories have to have a whirlwind romance. Some take a natural course where people get to know each other slowly and see where their feelings take them.
For some people, it may not be what they expect from a new adult romance as it didn’t have annoying douche male characters or the ’innocent’ female protagonist. Instead we have two people getting to know each, tentatively following their hearts and falling in love.
I think, The Moment of Letting Go is a sweet, coming of age story about two very different people falling in love and making you smile as you are fondly reminded of how you fell in love. It is a perfect beach or a holiday book where the characters explore the beautiful locales in Hawaii and discover themselves at the same time.
